LAKE DISTRICT 8 TO 13 JUNE 2014

The beautiful old Pooley Bridge where it all began
First port of call
A good start to the holiday
Heading for High Street
The Stone Circle at High Street(where someone had clearly done a rain dance earlier)
Having a wee rest on the way down from High Street. A tarn in the background
The rocky road from High Street
Yew Tree Farm where the accommodation was adequate (and then some)
Team pic before the ascent of Scafell Pike. All smiles(mostly) at this stage
Climbing through the mist.
At the top of Scafell Pike, highest mountain in England, 964m. This time everyone smiled.
Part of the contrary descent, we had to go up to come down!
The descent was easier now
The lovely cobble-stone bridge at Rosthwaite en route to the Cumbria Way and Derwent Water.
